Upon arrival at Santiago airport, you will be warmly greeted by your private driver for your transfer to your hotel. Assistance will be provided with check-in, and the rest of the day is at leisure to relax after your flight. Depending on your arrival time, you may choose to explore nearby neighborhoods or enjoy a gentle walk through the city to get your first impressions of Chile’s capital. Santiago, framed by the snowcapped Andes, is a vibrant mix of history and modernity, with lively plazas, colonial architecture, and leafy parks. This morning, discover the highlights of Santiago on a half-day guided city tour. Travel along the main boulevard, La Alameda, passing by the impressive Presidential Palace of La Moneda and the historic Plaza de Armas, home to the Cathedral, Central Post Office, and Town Hall. Continue with a scenic ascent of Cerro Santa Lucía, the very hill where Santiago was founded, offering wonderful views across the city. The tour then takes you to the cultural district of Lastarria and the artistic Bellavista neighborhood before crossing to the modern sectors of Providencia, Las Condes, and Vitacura. The day is free to enjoy Santiago according to your interests. At the agreed time, you will be privately transferred to Santiago airport for your flight south to Puerto Montt. Upon arrival, a representative will meet you for the journey to nearby Puerto Varas, a picturesque town on the shores of Lake Llanquihue. Known as the “City of Roses,” Puerto Varas is famous for its German-influenced architecture, charming waterfront, and spectacular views of Osorno Volcano. Depart Puerto Varas in the morning, skirting the shores of Lake Llanquihue with breathtaking views of the Osorno and Calbuco volcanoes. Enter Vicente Pérez Rosales National Park to visit the Petrohué Falls, where emerald-green waters tumble over volcanic rock formations. Continue by boat across Todos los Santos Lake, surrounded by snowy peaks including Osorno and Cerro Tronador.
